Chandra L. Jones

Birth date:

January 10, 1968

My Family information:
Happily married since 1996, with 2 children.

My Educational Experience:
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Ministerial

Studies, from Messenger College, Joplin MO .

Influential books (other than Bible):
The Spirit Controlled Woman by Beverly La Haye, The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

How I came to know Christ:
I was 5 years old when I accepted Christ into my life.  I have not always followed hard after the Lord, but at the age of 22, I accepted a call into the ministry, and have striven to follow Him whole heartedly ever since.

What is my ministry passion?
I absolutely LOVE to lead worship and train ministers.  I feel I have found my purpose.

How did I end up at Church of the Harvest?
In 2000, my husband began working in the area, and our young daughter and I lived with my parents 3 hours away.  We only saw him on the weekends.  I didn’t want to move up here, but the Lord had other plans.  We tried many churches in the area, and a fellow minister told us about Church of the Harvest.  He said we would like it because the Pastor was young.  Our first Sunday was Vision Sunday, and we have attended ever since.  It was a vision we could get behind and support…and it still is!

What I like most about being part of the Church of the Harvest team:
They are my family…so it’s more than just a job, it’s an adventure!

My Favorite movie:
That’s a tough one!  My favorite movie of all time?  It’s a toss up between “While You Were Sleeping and The Matrix Trilogy.”

My Favorite Food:
I’m a chili-head, so I would have to say Mexican, or anything spicy!

My Interests/hobbies:
I love to sing, play my saxophone, play with my children, do crafts (when I have time), and read.

Who are my heroes?
My Parents, My Pastor, pretty much anyone who overcomes seemingly insurmountable odds by trusting God and standing firm in faith.

Best advice:
Be yourself all the time.  It’s too hard to try to remember who you were the last time you were with someone.

Biggest fear:
I usually don’t answer this kind of question because I don’t want to be like Job.  He said, “
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” (Job 3:25)

Biggest vice:
CHOCOLATE

What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I wanted to be a Motorcycle Cop when I was a teenager, and I LOVE kickboxing!

What is the ONE thing I would take with me if I were banished to a remote island?
My family.
