What's a typical service like at Church of the Harvest?
The service usually opens up with a ROAR of excitement as we anticipate a mighty move of God. In our services the Holy Spirit ministers during worship, through prophetic words, altar calls and specific prayer for one another. As the Word is opened up, the congregation expresses their enthusiasm by doing “THE WAVE,” based upon Nehemiah Chapter 8. During the message there is a lot of laughter and excitement as we become REAL with who we are in Christ, and with the areas that God is challenging us to change.
Who is Church of the Harvest for?
It is for the Harvest, and the Harvesters. Church of the Harvest "helps people get up." The heart of our mission is not to feed full Christians, but to put into practice the mission of Christ. We have had great success watching older Christians find new life as they reach the lost.
When I show up, what should I wear?
We really don't care! Pastor Dan would prefer that you wear Raiders gear, but ‘Niner fans are also here in force. We do see a lot of Dockers and jeans, but wear a suit or wear shorts. Just cover yourself, and come on over!
Who else goes there?
All styles of people; from the homeless to business executives, singles, single moms, and families. All different colors, sizes and shapes, come weekly from all over the Greater Sacramento area. We've been called the "yard sale" church. Once you find us, you’ve found what you’re looking for.
