Linda Nalley

Birth date:
September 17th
My Family information:
I have been married to an awesome man of God for 47 years. Since I was a little girl I wanted sons. God saw the desire of my heart and he gave me 2 the first time. Our 4 sons have gone to church all of their lives. They grew up to be ministers. Steve is senior pastor in Napa and Scott is his youth pastor. Timothy is a full time kid’s pastor at Father’s House in Vacaville and Daniel is senior pastor at Church of the Harvest. We were blessed with another boy that came to live with us when he was a teenager, Ron Sukon, we call him our acquired son. He is a great Christian father and husband; he has served in his church in many ways. We are so grateful to see what our boys have accomplished for God.
I am also blessed with beautiful, talented and Godly daughters -in- law. Scott's wife, Becky is very talented with an absolutely beautiful voice and she helps him in the youth group. Becky's parents were pastors. Scott and Becky have been married for 23 years.
Steve's wife, Lisa is a worship leader and has a fantastically beautiful voice. She works in many areas of their church and also had parents that were pastors. Steve and Lisa have been married 19 years.
Tim's wife, Kim is also blessed with an amazingly beautiful voice and is the worship leader for their 300 kids in kids church. She leads worship not only in song, but in dance as well. The kids love it. Tim and Kim have been married almost 23 years.
Ron's wife Kristie is on the worship team and has a incredibly lovely voice. She has also worked in many areas of her church. Kristie's parents are pastors, her mother being the senior pastor. Ron and kristie have been married 9 years.
Including Ron’s girls we have 14 grand children, 3 boys and 11 girls. All of them are working in some capacity in their own particular churches. The older ones are already taking on leadership positions.
We will never stop thanking and praising God for all the great blessings he has given us. Nothing could possibly be more rewarding than seeing our family carry on the service to our blessed savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Without him we could have done nothing.
My Educational Experience:
High school plus some college classes
Influential books (other than Bible):
Dare to Discipline and Hide and Seek from James Dobson
How I came to know Christ:
My grand parents lead me to the Lord when I was 13 even though I attended church since I was 5.
What is my ministry passion?
My ministry passion is to be a mom to those who need one and to teach parenting.
How did I end up at Church of the Harvest?
We were there the first day Dan became pastor and we couldn't stop!
What I like most about being part of the Church of the Harvest team:
I love everything about Church of the Harvest.
My Favorite movie:
The older version of "Cheaper by the Dozen".
My Favorite Food:
Italian
My Interests/hobbies:
My cats are my main interest. Anything about animals, I love to build, home decorating and sewing.
Who are my heroes?
My heroes- are parents who have unselfishly faced the truth and raised their children the proper way. Children who love God and respect our country, authority, other living things and other people's property. Parents who raise children that know it is wrong to lie, cheat or steal and that the ten commandments are God's law for us to live by.
Best advice:
My best advice - serve God. Not just when it is convenient or when it feels good. It is a life commitment. If you have a problem doing it for yourself, get the strength to do it for the sake of your children.
Biggest fear:
All my fears have been turned over to the Lord to handle for me! I never dwell on fear.
Biggest vice:
Vices include pushing myself too far, working too hard until I hurt myself, overeating and nagging my husband.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
Most people would be surprised to know the real me. I am not in anyway a typical woman. I don't like diamonds. I love tools and get them for Christmas and my birthday. I can build almost anything and have some knowledge of plumbing and electrical. I love to fix and repair things. I can deliver calves and baby goats and I do some of my own veterinary work. I don't like to dress up, I am comfortable in jeans. I adore my cats and speak to them like they are my children and pray for them when they are sick and god heals them by the way.
What is the ONE thing I would take with me if I were banished to a remote island?
If I were banished to an island I would take my Bible.
